Die Antwoord - XPENSIVE SH1T

As promised, here is the release of Die Antwoord's latest single "XPEN$IVE SH1T"...  It's not an official video just yet, only lyrics.  But the lyrics themselves are pretty funny.  The single can be downloaded through iTunes as of today. :-)

Die Antwoord - XPEN$IV $H1T

It hasn't been that long since Die Antwoord dropped their latest crazy-ass album "Ten$ion", but in a few days they will release their latest single "XPEN$IV $H1T" which will be out on 31st July.  There is a rather big hype about this specific track, I have no idea why, but keep an eye on their Facebook page & "like" it if you haven't yet...  Link here

Trust Me - Zigzag Magazine Article

I came across this really interesting article posted by Zigzag regarding the carguards on the Durban Beachfront. It's these little things that, at times, make me me miss ol' Durbs.
Give it a read, really awesome stuff... See the article here

Here I have compiled some of the best street art of 2011.  Some really awesome stuff... Making our dull urban areas more colourful is something that our Governments should seriously consider!!!

OCEARCH Global Shark Tracker

Wow, this a really handy & nifty tool for those of us that make use of our oceans.  OCEARCH lets you observe globally where the most recent sharks have been spotted, as well as lets you Ping if you have spotted a shark.

It lets you observe the navigational pattern of sharks that have been tagged with satellite tracking technology all for the purpose of shark conservation.

OCEARCH facilitates unprecedented research by supporting leading researchers & institutions seeking to attain groundbreaking data on the biology & health of sharks, in conjunction with basic research on shark life history & migration.

Teahupoo Madness!!!

One of the craziest waves in the world, never mind the sheer size it gets on a real shallow reef.
Have a look at video below to see exactly why.  This video was shot sometime last year when Teahupoo got HAMMERED by some massive swell.  Oh, and the surfers got hammered too...

Ken Block - Gymkhana 5

Ok, some of us have been waiting a while for the new Gymkana 5 to be aired by Ken Block & the rest of the DC Team.  Well it was uploaded on Youtube yesterday for the first time.  Ken managed to get 5.1 million hits on Youtube in the first 24 hours of the video being uploaded, it's now sitting on about 8.2 million or so.

We have to admit, this dude is pretty talented. Who wouldn't be if your job entailed owing one of the best skate shoe brands ever & driving a 650bhp tuned car like a madman everyday?

Anyway, check out the video below, pretty damn awesome!!!

My Favourite Surf Spot

Ok, it's about time I have a little say about my favourite beach break in Cape Town.  Yes, I do miss the Durban beaches for their warm water & mostly constant waves.  BUT, CT has LOADS of breaks to offer a bodyboarder like me, sand bars & reef breaks dotted all around the peninsula.

My favourite beach break by FAR is definitely Llandudno.  Not just because it is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen, but because when there is swell around, this place knows how to handle it.  It's a rather shallow break, so surfers often come really short & break boards, but for us bodyboarders, it's heaven, really...

When there is swell & the offshore is howling down that valley, it really comes alive, PROPERLY!!!

Check out the video below, not captured on one of the biggest days by a long shot, but you will get a feel for what I am talking about...

Cheers,
B
