Underdogs!!!

Seth Casteel knows how to bring out a dog’s wild side. The pet photographer has snapped surreal photos of more than 60 dogs swimming underwater & diving into pools to chase after a coveted tennis ball or squeaky toy.

Casteel’s underwater dog photos were posted on the social news site Reddit.com & they became an instant viral hit, collecting thousands of "likes" on Facebook. Traffic to his Little Friends Lifestyle Pet Photography website jumped from around 200 visitors a day to more than 100,000 a day, he said, overloading his server. He said he’s received thousands of emails & over 1,000 inquiries for private shoots from clients in 20 countries.

Casteel is an “underwater dog whisperer” if you will. He turned to pet photography full time about four years ago & has mastered the art of coaxing four-legged subjects to get the shot!!! He won't reveal how he does it though... :-(

Kalk Bay Firing Off It's TITS!!!!

Last weekend we had crazy storm surf in the Cape, okes getting towed in @ Dungeon's on Sunday & all that madness...

On the opposite side, Kalk Bay had felt like it missed out on all the fun.  So on Monday, it decided to fire just in front of the harbour, on what looks like a really shallow slab of reef. Some of the thickest "lips" I have ever seen in SA.

We were just @ The Polana for lunch 2 weeks ago for a friends' birthday, check out the pics of the waves breaking into the restaurant, we were sitting right there by the window.  HECTIC STUFF!!!!!

Vladimir Franz - The Most Exciting Candidate In The Czech Elections

Vladimir Franz, a university teacher, painter and composer, announced today that he is planning to run for President in the Czech Republic's 2013 elections, Prague Daily Monitor reports.

Franz stands out from other candidates — he has tattoos that cover his entire face & body, as well as a variety of piercings and a dye that makes his hair blue.

Before he can compete in the elections, Franz must collect 50,000 signatures. Betting sites are not giving him good odds at present, but he is placing higher than some candidates. One Reddit user says that despite his appearance, Franz's policies are actually strikingly normal (so far).

"Snoop Dogg" dies as "Snoop Lion" rises

Los Angeles - Rapper Snoop Dogg conquered hip-hop with his canine-themed moniker and is now taking on the world of reggae with a new name, Snoop Lion, the performer's representatives said on Tuesday.

The veteran rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Junior, said in a statement that he was renamed Snoop Lion by Rastafarian priests on a recent trip to Jamaica where he was filmed for a documentary, Reincarnated. The documentary coincides with the rapper's upcoming reggae album of the same name. A release date has not yet been set.

“I didn't want to be Snoop Dogg on a reggae track... I wanted to bury Snoop Dogg and become Snoop Lion, but I didn't know that until I went to the temple and received the name Snoop Lion from the Nyabingi priest,” the rapper said. "I went to the temple, where the High Priest asked me what my name was, and I said 'Snoop Dogg'. And he looked me in my eyes and said, 'No more. You are the light; you are the lion'."
Snoop, 40, initially began his career in the early 1990s rap and hip-hop scene as Snoop Doggy Dogg, eventually dropping the middle name “Doggy”. Snoop Dogg has become his brand, earning him nicknames like “The Doggfather”.

The new Snoop Lion comes with the rapper's latest foray into reggae music, moving away from hip hop, embracing Rastafarian culture and people for his new identity.
Snoop Lion has already been introduced onto social media platforms to promote the rapper's latest single, La La La, along with his upcoming album and documentary, which will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. - Reuters
